I think I'm going to start this first post with where the previous chapter of my life ended. My full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. Yes. It's true. I'm a Mormon. And proud of it! I spent the last year and a half of my life sharing an amazing message about Jesus Christ with complete strangers, who later became some of my greatest friends. (Wanna see pictures? Go here!)
I've officially been home for 26 days and it's been a crazy/exciting ride! I love spending time with the family! They're kinda my life :). Then there's that special guy. You know, the boyfriend :). He's serving a mission as well, but he gets home in EIGHT DAYS! Like where did the time go?! Ahh! I am so excited to see him!
I hope you'll enjoy popping in to read my crazy posts of my adventures :). Some of my "to do's" in my life right now are:
- Find another job
- Go on a date with James (the boyfriend) in 9 days
- Start enrolling in classes
- Prepare to move 1,094.3 miles away from my family--to Utah!
That's what I have as priorities for right now.... One day at time. I'll get there.
Stick around to witness my hectic happy :)

I felt I needed to tell my funny homecoming story:
Haha!
Well, we boarded the plane and we were off to Salt Lake City, and everything went well. We landed in Salt Lake and it was time to say our goodbyes to the other missionaries and prepare to board our next flights to see our families. Which I had like 15 mins to get to and was BOOKING it! Like full on sprint. Then when I was boarding the plane back to Oklahoma there was another Elder that was returning home as well. That was fun! We just talked about our missions and how excited we were to see our families!
Then the moment came. It was time to walk out of security and greet my family with open arms! Then when I walked out of the terminal...... no one was there... It was so awkward, but kind of funny too. If you knew my family, there was kind of a thought of "why am I not surprised?" Haha!
So I walked around trying to find them, because I knew that my mom couldn't have forgotten.. maybe... Well, I couldn't find them anywhere and I thought I'd better go and get my bags. So I got all my bags and I had three huge suitcases and no one to come get me... (awkward). AND I had no companion! So weird... Then I looked up and I saw my mom. Haha! I was so happy! And my uncle, aunt and four cousins were there with signs and leis :). It was marvelous!
Then I went home and there was a little dinner and the rest of my family there :). Then I got released that night. It was emotional, but I felt peace too. I was able to bear my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Stake president and to my family. My family was able to talk about how my service as a missionary has blessed them. It was wonderful to hear :).
Then the next week, I reported to the high Council! That was so fun. I was able to talk about my mission and what I learned and what the church was like there in Idaho. They asked me questions and I bore my testimony to them.
Now I'm working as a nanny and striving to find another job to earn more money :).
I want you all to know that I just love the gospel and the blessings it can bring to all of our lives. I know it is true.
